Happy Founder’s Day

Dear Zetas,

Happy Founder’s Day from all of us on the National Council of Zeta Phi Eta.  It’s hard to believe that it’s already this time of year again….

This past year has been a challenging one for Zeta Phi Eta and many of it’s members.  But I am excited to share that things are moving forward now in a very positive way ….

Due to the cancellation of the 2009 Convention, the official voting for the new Slate of Zeta Phi Eta National Council officers in currently taking place electronically NOW with the official transition planned for the end of October 2009.  All Chapters and National Council officers have an official vote.  Please vote now!

In addition, all of the chapters are working hard to continue to Achieve with Wisdom, Integrity and Love.  Thank you to everyone that helped with all of the different projects going on over the last few years.  We couldn’t have gotten this far without your help.  But we are not finished yet…We still need your help!

Are you interested in serving on a Committee, taking on a Chair position, starting a new Chapter, getting involved with a local chapter or serving on the National Council?  If you are interested in getting involved with Zeta in any way or would like to share your thoughts or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at president@zetaphieta.org.

Initial plans for the 2011 convention are already underway.  More details will be announced soon as well as other programs and ideas to connect us all in 2010.

For more information, please visit our website at www.zetaphieta.org

I hope to hear from you soon.

Best wishes to you and your family on the 116th Anniversary of Zeta Phi Eta.

In Zeta,

Maria Schloerb Burns

Cameo Submissions

We are always accepting contributions for the next edition of the CAMEO, our semi-annual publication. Most of the content is to update Zetas on the goings-on of chapters around the country, but we would also like to have at least a couple professional development articles in each issues.

With that in mind, if you would like to write an article that highlights your experience and expertise in any area of communication, we would love to have you submit it. Even if length is an issue, we can print an excerpt in CAMEO and included the bulk of your paper/article/story online.

We will be accepting scholarly articles, professional advice or professional information articles, short stories, poems and more.

If you’re interested in publication in CAMEO or online, please submit your writing or questions to our CAMEO editor at cameo@zetaphieta.org
